We got to visit with Patrick's Aunt Cecelia, Uncle Dan, and Cousin Dominique a couple weeks ago. They took us out for an amazing dinner, and showered Molly with gifts! Dominique gave Molly her cupcake house, and Molly loves it (actually, she and Ali both love it - Molly often yells at Ali to get out).
With fall weather upon us, we decided to take Molly apple picking. She had a great time picking and eating apples! She is also having lots of fun in her weekly Little Gym class. There are lots of kids her age, fun equipment to play on, and a great instructor leading the class. She does somersaults, walks on the balance beam, hangs from bars and rings, and especially loves the bubbles at the end of class. When Grandma came for a visit, Molly showed her all her favorite activities at the park: swinging, climbing, and sliding!
Molly just gets cuter every day. She's been adding new words to her vocabulary, including go, up, down, ball, mama, nose, and hi. Mama covers the whole family - she says it when pointing to me, Patrick, and herself. Molly also loves to dance; whenever she hears music, she bops and spins around. She has discovered that we love watching her dance, and uses it to her advantage - at bedtime, she goes over to her music table and starts dancing to keep us from putting her to bed. Smart girl!
We're trying to stay cool here in DC. Our air conditioning was broken for a couple weeks, but luckily it got fixed right before the 95+ degree days hit. The hot, sticky apartment motivated us to get out and explore our town some more, so we toured the war memorials.
