Cold Saturday Watching TV and Movies

The Anthony Bourdain book was fairly entertaining, though it might be even more so to someone who loves food and cooking. The best part is when he's a young man working in a kitchen where they're catering a wedding, and the bride and the head chef slip out back and... naw, I won't spoil it. Suffice it to say, I don't think they could show anything that entertaining on the TV show.
Thanks for the Space: Above & Beyond - I shall give that a try now. I always thought it would be bad. I thought that about Battlestar Galactica - am I wrong about that too?
The original, 1979 Galactica, is downright cheesy. You can see nuggets of great potential, but the execution was poor.

The new "Battlestar Galactica" is quite good. They have made it resonate with contemporary issues. I definitely say it is worth a shot. It is probably the best show that is currently* in production.

*Writer's strike not withstanding.
