First Blooms
We made an offer on our house in April, 1998, but, due to my job situation (I just got the offer with my current company), we could not close until May 15. To complete the loop, we got married in July--I had three major life events (new job, new house, new wife) in six weeks!
We would drive by our house, and ponder it. One of the first things we said we would do is pull out the "viney things" that were growing in the front.
Then, May 15 came, and we closed on the house. We drove from the realtor to the house to have our inaugural walk through. For the first time, we realized that the "viney things" were rose bushes! They were all in bloom to welcome us. We now jelously defend our roses.
Coming back from watching the Flying Pig Marathon, we saw the first blooms of the year. We'll probably have tons in a week. There may be better pictures on our other camera, but I thought I would start with posting these. Here are a few better, not-cheesey-cell-phone-camera ones:
