Northern Kentucky Pave
My route out Route 8 in Kentucky is not strictly out Route 8. There is a road I take that goes between a leveee and the river. It bypasses Dayton, Kentucky, and the associated traffic and stop signs. I am always amused by a restraunt there named "Wok on Water."
However, it looks like I won't be taking it for a while. They are going to repair it (it needed it), and, in order to make an omlet, they broke a few eggs. This is one of several 10-30 foot sections. Some, I pushed the bike around. Others, I finesed my way through them. Others, I gripped the bars and went through, saying a prayer to whatever diety rules over Roubaix.
It was actaully a pretty good ride. I was able to get home with the fastest solo speed this year. Yeah!
