When Pigs Fly

Today is the ninth annual Flying Pig Marathon, and it goes a mere three blocks from my house. This year, my brother-in-law finished his first marathon. Given that, my wife, daughter, Eddy and I went down to that corner to cheer him on. Eddy attracted a lot of attention--there were plenty of dogs on the sidelines, but he was the only feline

We had been tracking him via the web for most of the morning, so we only had to wait 5-10 minutes for him to run by, stop to say "hi," then continue on. In the second picture, he is circled in red:

It's cool that you got Eddy to wear the leash. I've never heard of a cat that would allow itself to be leashed and walked. My mom tried to leash her cat once and the thing freaked out. To be honest, though, that cat was a little off.

You don't so much walk the cat as suggest which way to go. When I actually needed him in a particular spot on a particular timeline, I had to pick him up (towards the end, much to his dismay). However, he was quite happy to be out smelling grass and flowers, and letting kids pet him.
